Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was involved in a heated confrontation with a Sri Lankan player following India A’s dramatic defeat to Sri Lanka A in the ongoing One-Day Tri-Series in Dambulla.

Sri Lanka A secured victory in a thrilling contest after defeating India A in the Super Over. The closing moments of the match were filled with drama, as the Super Over was played despite poor light conditions. A controversial no-ball decision also forced the Indian players to return to the field after they had initially walked off.
Adding to the tension, India A was penalized 10 runs for twice running on a dangerous area of the pitch, giving Sri Lanka A a significant advantage during the decisive stages of the game.
However, the biggest talking point came after the match when emotions boiled over between players from both sides. Young Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sri Lankan cricketer Vishen Halambage were seen exchanging heated words before the argument escalated.
According to reports, Suryavanshi attempted to physically confront the Sri Lankan player, creating a tense atmosphere on the field. Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella quickly intervened, helping to defuse the situation and preventing the altercation from escalating further.
Following the victory, Sri Lanka A moved to the top of the tri-series points table with four points, strengthening its position in the tournament.
