Black American actors and celebrities have welcomed the conviction of a former white police officer in the George Floyd murder case.

“Today, the jury did the right thing, but more is needed for real justice,” the former US president wrote in a statement on Twitter.
“Michelle and my prayers are with Floyd’s family and we stand with all those who are committed to guaranteeing the full measure of justice for every American, including George and many others,” Obama said. It was denied.

According to the news agency, a 12-member jury found Derek Chavan, 45, a former police officer guilty of all three charges.
