Indonesia Attempt to Smuggle Parrots in Plastic Bottles Fails

Jakarta: An attempt to smuggle rare and precious parrots in dozens of plastic bottles by ship has been foiled in Indonesia.

According to the International News Agency, security officials searched the small container used for drinking water in Papua, Indonesia, and found 64 live and 10 dead parrots in the small bottles used for drinking water.

These parrots are very beautiful and brightly colored and because of their beauty, their demand is also very high. These lorries are found mostly in the coastal areas of Indonesia.

Many valuable birds and animals are smuggled from Indonesia's forests around the world, and keeping these expensive birds is considered a sign of glory.

It should be noted that during a wildlife raid in Indonesia in 2017, 125 valuable birds were recovered from drainage pipes.
