Demand for Pakistani Workers Has Increased In Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Demand for Pakistani workers has increased after the restoration of work visas for Saudi Arabia. Initially, Saudi officials demanded 7,000 new employees from Pakistan. 

Abdul Shakoor Soomro, deputy director of the Pakistan Overseas Employment and Bureau of Immigration, told a Gulf newspaper that Saudi Arabia had hired Pakistani workers for the Overseas Employment Bureau. After receiving the demand, various recruitment agencies have started the recruitment process.

He said that this month after the visa was granted in Saudi Arabia Demand for more than 7,000 workers has been received, after which recruitment has begun. 

According to the Gulf newspaper, Overseas Employment Bureau officials say there are vast job opportunities in Saudi Arabia, while private companies and other companies Demand employees has also increased.

Saudi Arabia has demanded Pakistan Overseas Employment Bureau to recruit Pakistani employees for recruitment in other fields including doctors, computer programmers, engineers, electricians, salesmen and drivers. 

Due to the lockdown, there were 60,000 workers who were denied visas, he said, referring to the Gulf newspaper. But could not go to work due to travel restrictions.

He said that the visas of such persons have also been extended. According to the newspaper, the Saudi Arabian embassy said that Pakistani workers who want their old visas to be revoked and new ones to be applied for, are to be sponsored by the sponsor. 

Submit a certified letter from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and a new medical certificate. The old visa will then be revoked and a new work visa will be issued.
