The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and Prime Minister Imran Khan have repeatedly said in their speeches that much needs to be done in terms of tourism in Pakistan, which will attract tourists from all over the world.
This will help in repaying the loan, new places are being discovered by the government every day and they are also being shared on the Twitter account of the government of Pakistan.
The government’s manifesto made many claims regarding the development of the tourism sector and today, a year later, it is gratifying to see that the government has performed well in this sector.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had claimed in his speech that he would make it easier for tourists to obtain visas, develop tourist destinations and open four new tourist destinations every year.
To further improve tourism, the government has also set up a National Coordination Tourism Board, which includes representatives from the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, tourism ministers, secretaries, foreign office and 7 to 8 private sector people.
One problem is that tourism is a provincial issue after the 18th Amendment, so assistance is being provided to the provinces. In this regard, the dead body of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has been revived and it is being revived.
