Abu Dhabi: In the final of PSL 6, Peshawar Zalmi has decided to field first after winning the toss against Multan Sultans.
In the final of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League being played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first.

The winning team will get prize money of Rs 7.5 crore, a check of Rs 30 million is ready for runnerup, the best bowler, fielder, and wicket-keeper will receive Rs 8.8 lakh, Rs 32 lakh has been set aside for the Spirit of Cricket Award.

Finalists Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi boosted their confidence after beating top-ranked Islamabad United in the points table in the play-offs. Muhammad Rizwan XI scored 31 runs in the qualifiers against Islamabad while Wahab Riaz XI took 5 wickets for Karachi Kings. After defeating Islamabad, they defeated Islamabad by 8 wickets in Element Two.
Multan Sultans reached the final of the event for the first time, Peshawar will fight for the title for the fourth time, Multan Sultans team won 5 out of 6 matches including qualifier in Abu Dhabi, on the other hand Peshawar Zalmi Abu Dhabi only 2 out of 5 matches in the league stage. One of the two mutual matches of the recent event was won by Peshawar Zalmi and the other by Multan Sultans.
